The fact that they are not registered in itself is not proof that there is a scam (see super famous banks). I too was abandoned by the Broker (Mr. Nicholas Savas, of Cypriot origin) but never asked to withdraw any or all of the modest profit. The only thing that could infuriate me would be to lose everything without knowing what happened to my broker from whom I still hope to receive a phone call from him confirming the SCAM with apologies from him, which I would accept despite the loss.
