Buoyed by talks between India and the US on resolving issues concerning high tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, India’s stock indices went up on September 16, 2025. The NSE Nifty went 0.68% higher to scale 25,239.10, whereas the BSE Sensex surged 594.95 points to reach 82,380.69. It reached an intraday high of 82,443.48.
