Established in March 1945, MITSUI SECURITIES CO.,LTD. is a securities company that provides mainly financial instruments business. Account Opening Process

If a client wants to open an account with MITSUI Securities, he/she can first make an inquiry by phone, email or in-store. After the client fully understands the content, the company's sales staff will guide him/her through the account opening process. In addition, clients need to cooperate with a series of account opening documents depending on the type of account, such as personal or corporate. The account opening will be completed within a few business days after receiving the required documents from the client.

About NISA accounts

NISA is a small investment tax exemption system introduced in 2014. The application is mainly for adults over 20 years of age living in Japan. Profits, dividends, and distributions from investments are tax-free up to a maximum of 1.2 million yen per year, and the tax-free period is five years. Each person can only open one NISA account. Generally, only newly purchased listed stocks and stock investment trusts from a NISA account are eligible for tax-free investments, and stocks and stock investment trusts currently held cannot be transferred to a NISA account.

Commission

MITSUI Securities charges clients when providing products and various services as needed in the course of trading. Regarding domestic stocks and stock acquisition rights securities, the commission (including tax) to be paid for contract prices under 1,000,000 yen is (1.150% of the contract price) x 1.10. The maximum commission for stock transactions is 1.265% (including tax). (And 2,750 yen for contracts up to 217,392 yen or less, including tax of 250 yen.)
