General Information
In November 1992, Qualinvest Capital Limited (“QCap”) was established as an investment management firm with a focus on encouraging investments in the Nigerian Capital Market. The Company was granted a Broker/Dealer license by the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) in 1992, and thereafter joined the Nigeria Stock Exchange (“NSE”) as an Authorized Dealer. The SEC granted QCap an Issuing House license in 2004. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has also given QCap permission to trade in Nigerian Treasury Bills.
Over time, QCap has transformed from a securities trading firm to a full-fledged investment banking boutique firm, providing a wide range of clients, including high net worth individuals and institutional investors, with stockbroking, asset & portfolio management, issuing houses, and financial advisory services (Multinational Companies, Pension Fund Administrators, Governments and Insurance Companies).
With a diversified ownership base made up of institutional investors and management made up of professionals with strong competencies in securities dealing, stockbroking, asset management, and financial advisory, QCap consistently offers bespoke solutions that satisfy the needs of all of its clients, resulting in a superior return on investment for its investors. Compared to the Nigeria Stock Exchange All Share Index and the NSE-30 Index, which had increases of 47.19 percent and 42.73 percent, respectively, QCap's managed portfolio saw a return on investment of over 50 percent in 2013.
