【Event Overview】 I am a cTrader account user of IC Markets Global (Account: 6038295). On April 2, 2026, at 06:08:53 AM (UTC+8), my 5-lot short position in XAGUSD (Silver/US Dollar) was automatically force-liquidated (Stop-Out) by the system. The trade ID is DID55171862. This short position was opened on April 1 at a price of 74.045. However, it was forcibly closed at the Ask price of 77.674 during the opening session the next day, with a slippage as high as 362.9 pips, resulting in a huge loss of HKD 141,449.36 (approximately USD 18,000). 【Core Issue: Phantom Price】 What infuriates me the most is: I opened TradingView to check IC Markets' own data feed. The 30-minute candlestick chart for XAGUSD during that period shows: Open 74.956, High 75.854, Low 69.723, Close 75.136. The price of 77.674 does not exist on the candlestick chart at all! What's even more outrageous is that I held a short position. The candlestick chart shows the price dropped as low as 69.723. The short position should have made a huge profit, but instead, it was liquidated by a phantom Ask price. This is not slippage; this is a complete price anomaly. 【Abnormal Spread】 Quotes at the time of liquidation: Ask 77.674 / Bid 73.330, with a spread as high as USD 4.344 (approximately 434 pips). The normal spread for XAGUSD on an IC Markets Raw Spread account is typically between USD 0.01-0.05. This spread is 87 to 43 times the normal value! 【Stop-Out System Failure】 The account equity directly dropped to -HKD 2,605 (negative), with a margin level of -89.76%. The Stop-Out setting is 50%. This indicates that IC Markets' risk control system completely failed. It did not close positions normally when the margin level reached 50%; instead, it allowed the equity to cross zero and become negative. 【My Demands】 1. IC Markets must provide the tick data and liquidity provider quote records for that period. 2. Fully compensate my loss of HKD 142,211.44 (including commissions). 3. Provide a written apology and acknowledge the execution failure. 4. If not resolved, I will formally complain to the Seychelles FSA regulator. 【Evidence】 • TradingView candlestick chart screenshots (IC Markets data feed, 2-hour and 30-minute) • cTrader trade detail screenshots (Trade ID, price, time, Stop-Out note) • IC Markets online customer service chat records (Case #05752574) •) • Formal complaint email screenshot I hope other traders take note! If you also experienced similar abnormal slippage this morning, please leave a message and contact me. We can defend our rights together.
