IndustryRupee Realizes Appreciation After a Long Time
After either declining or staying flat over many trading sessions, the rupee finally recovered some lost grounds by appreciating 10 paise against the USD to close at 88.69 (provisional) on October 10, 2025, amid a strong domestic market and largely weak crude oil prices. What also lifted the trader’s sentiment for the rupee was the necessary measures adopted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). However, a strong USD curtailed sharp gains for the rupee. The rupee opened at 88.80 and remained range-bound within 88.50-88.80 before finishing at 88.69, registering a 10-paise gain over the previous trading session.
