Vantage, a multi-asset broker based in Sydney, has announced a partnership with Supercar Blondie, an Australian social media personality and automotive YouTuber, to launch its environment, social, and governance (ESG) program.
The worldwide broker announced a news release on Friday.
The news comes only days after the broker announced the addition of 14 US equity contracts for difference (CFDs) to its platform.
“The alliance will concentrate on fostering innovation for electric car manufacturing, encouraging gender equality, and bringing climate change to the forefront,” Vantage said in a statement.
Blondie, actual name Alexandra Mary 'Alex' Hirschi, from the United Arab Emirates, is set to join Vantage in Sardinia, Italy.
During the race week in Italy, she will take part in the international off-road racing series Extreme E's Blue Carbon sustainability program.
Vantage said that the initiative's purpose is to rehabilitate important seagrass habitats.
Vantage said that one of the aims of its worldwide ESG campaign is to officially support its workers' ESG activities.
“Vantage's corporate ESG journey was motivated by its employees' enthusiasm to make the world a better place,” the broker added.
“For years, its personnel in many countries have implemented customized ESG programs for their local community, ranging from volunteer labor and contributions to fundraising and education.”
Marc Despallieres, Chief Strategy & Trading Officer at Vantage, said in his response that the broker is thrilled to have Supercar Blondie join the firm on its ESG path.
“It was evident that contributing to the environment around us is something we care about,” Despallieres said. “The creation of the ESG program, together with our cooperation with Alex, is a means to unify all of these efforts and promote engagement.”
Meanwhile, NASDAQ just announced its intention to buy Metro, a privately owned supplier of ESG data collecting, analytics, and reporting services located in Canada.
Metrio's software as a service platform will be integrated into the global technology company's range of ESG solutions, according to the announcement.
