The Authority stated on its website that fraudsters copy the details of firms and convince people that their firms are genuine. FCA said that almost all firms and individuals must be authorized by us to carry out or promote financial services in the UK. However, these fraudulent firms do not follow this rule.

The FCA has issued cautions to the public, encouraging them to exercise caution and vigilance when dealing with brokers and to thoroughly research and check any broker's licenses before investing.
