Zerodha's Initiative- Zerodha Care

Through its initiative Zerodha Cares, Zerodha contributes to sanitation, healthcare, education, and the environment. According to the Broker-

1. Education- Zerodha Cares has successfully completed a rural school development in Mandya District. The school lacked basic amenities like toilets and clean drinking water. We joined hands with an NGO and successfully constructed toilets for this school. Zerodha Cares adopted Government primary schools across villages to construct toilets in Harohalli Hobli, Kanakapura taluk in Karnataka. The project has benefited more than 3000 school children.

Broker stated, Zerodha is sponsoring the education of 15 tribal students in Karnataka. The sponsorship takes care of Academic Tutoring, Soft Skill Training, Education Materials, Food, Clothing, Lodging, Toiletries, Educational Trip, Pre-Vocational Training & Healthcare Expenses for the students.

2. Animal Ambulance -Zerodha Cares also supports two ambulances for our NGO partner that picks up injured, sick, abandoned and abused animals across Bangalore city. The ambulance service has no holiday and works 365 days of the year. Each ambulance covers easily 45- 50 cases every day traversing in large part of the city.

3. Healthcare- Zerodha Cares is supporting Mobile Medicare Unit (MMU) initiatives with our NGO partner. The programme has immediate short-term impact, as well as long-term improvement, in the health and quality of life of our marginalized beneficiaries. Our MMUs address the problems of unaffordability, inaccessibility,and non-availability of basic essential healthcare to poor elderly.

4. Enviorement - Zerodha Cares in association with its partner NGOs has taken up the project of planting ten thousand trees and developing two man-made islands at Somanahalli Lake. In addition to this, we have successfully planted one thousand trees at Cubbon Park.
