Abstract:Spain’s CNMV has warned against 10 unauthorized investment platforms and clone entities, including websites linked to suspected online scams, fake endorsements, and AI-assisted promotional activity.

Spains National Securities Market Commission has issued a new warning against 10 unauthorized investment platforms and clone entities, saying the named firms are not registered with the regulator and are not allowed to provide investment services in Spain.
The warning covers a mix of online trading websites, suspected scam brands, and clone-style entities that appear to imitate legitimate companies or use misleading promotional material to attract investors.
The latest warning includes the following names and websites:
CNMV said these entities are not authorised to provide investment services or carry out activities reserved for registered firms in Spain.
One of the cases involves opteamasesoresfinancieros.com, which the regulator identified as a clone connected to the name of OPTEAM ASESORES FINANCIEROS EAF, SL.
According to the warning, the website has no connection with the authorised firm. Clone websites often use the name, registration details, or public identity of a real company to appear legitimate. This can mislead investors who only check the company name without verifying the exact domain and contact details.
The warning also points to a wider pattern in online investment fraud. Some suspicious campaigns are promoted through social media using fake celebrity endorsements, fabricated news articles, and AI-generated images or content.
These methods are designed to make investment offers appear more credible than they are. In many cases, the first contact may come through an advertisement, a messaging app, or a website that promises easy access to trading or unusually high returns.
CNMV urged investors to verify a companys regulatory status before sending money or personal information. A professional-looking website, a familiar brand name, or a promoted post on social media does not mean the firm is authorised.
