This Darwinex review provides an in depth look at the broker's regulatory standing, WikiScore rating, trading environment, and user feedback based on data available on WikiFX. According to WikiFX, the Darwinex broker holds a WikiScore of 7.01 out of 10, placing it within a mid to high tier among globally listed brokers. This score reflects a broker that is formally licensed and operationally credible, while carrying specific indicators of risk that prospective traders should examine before committing funds.

About Darwinex

Darwinex is the trading name of Tradeslide Trading Tech Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom with registration number 08061368, established in July 2013. The broker has been operational for between 10 and 15 years and is headquartered at Level 39, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AB. It is primarily known for its hybrid model that combines forex brokerage services with an asset management dimension, allowing traders to offer their strategies as investable products to external capital allocators.

The platform offers trading on forex, CFDs, commodities, ETFs, futures, and stocks, with spreads from 0.0 pips on MT4 and MT5. The minimum deposit stands at USD 500 equivalent.

Regulatory Status

Financial Conduct Authority United Kingdom

Darwinex holds a single regulatory licence, issued by the Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom to Tradeslide Trading Tech Limited under licence number 586466. The licence type is classified as a Market Making Licence.

The FCA is one of the most recognisable and well regarded financial regulatory bodies in the world, responsible for overseeing tens of thousands of financial firms operating in and from the United Kingdom. Licensed firms are required to maintain adequate capital reserves, segregate client funds from company funds, comply with conduct of business standards, and participate in the Financial Services Compensation Scheme where applicable.

From a Darwinex regulation perspective, FCA authorisation represents a substantive regulatory anchor. Traders operating under a UK FCA regulated entity benefit from enforceable investor protections that are generally considered among the most robust available to retail clients globally.

That said, Darwinex operates under a single jurisdiction licence, without additional regulatory coverage in other regions. Clients based outside the United Kingdom should confirm which entity and licence terms govern their specific account.

For traders conducting a review Darwinex, understanding which regulated entity holds their account is an important part of the due diligence process.

Trading Environment & Trading Platforms

WikiFX's independent trading environment assessment rates Darwinex at an overall grade of B, with a breakdown across five performance dimensions:

  • Execution Speed: AA with average execution latency of 366.4 milliseconds and minimum latency of 76 milliseconds
  • Slippage: A with average slippage of 0.8
  • Trading Cost: D reflecting a higher cost profile relative to peers
  • Swap Rates: AAA among the strongest scores in its peer group
  • Disconnections: D with average disconnection frequency of 0.1 times per day

The trading cost and disconnection scores represent the weakest aspects of the Darwinex trading environment, while the swap and execution speed ratings are comparatively strong. Among 116 brokers assessed in the same trading environment cohort, Darwinex ranks 77th overall, based on 184 tested users and 1,526 orders across used margin of USD 12.6 million.

Darwinex holds full licences for both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, with three MT4 servers and two MT5 servers in operation. Server location is based in Cyprus. Average execution speed across the platform is recorded at 169.77 milliseconds, classified as a strong result under WikiFX's MT4 and MT5 verification framework.

The broker's proprietary mobile application, Darwinex for Investors, is available on both iOS and Android, designed specifically for investors allocating capital to trader managed DARWIN strategies rather than for direct manual trading. App download figures remain limited, suggesting the product serves a more specialist client base.

Field Survey Findings

A WikiFX field survey conducted at Darwinex's declared address, Level 39, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, returned a result classified as No Physical Presence Found. Inspectors were unable to confirm the operational presence of the broker at the stated office location.

This finding does not, by itself, indicate fraudulent activity. Canary Wharf tower addresses are commonly used as serviced or virtual office arrangements by financial firms, particularly those with distributed or remote operating models. However, the inability to confirm a physical presence at the declared office adds a dimension of uncertainty that prospective clients may wish to factor into their evaluation.

WikiFX has also issued a risk alert noting that Darwinex has accumulated one negative field survey review on the platform.

User Complaints and Exposure Reports

Among eight user submissions recorded on WikiFX for Darwinex, four are classified as exposure reports and four are neutral or positive in nature.

One user from India reported submitting a wire bank transfer withdrawal that had not been received after 15 days, with customer support responding slowly and the issue remaining unresolved at the time of posting. A user from Chile reported losing over 22,000 pesos and alleging the payment never arrived, describing what they characterised as a scam. A Hong Kong based user submitted a withdrawal request of USD 500 on November 3 that had not arrived by November 15, with no response from customer support in English after Chinese support was found to be unavailable. A fourth exposure report from Hong Kong describes profits being explicitly refused for withdrawal, with only the principal permitted to be returned.

On the positive side, a user from the United States described the broker's customer support as amazing and praised its wide client base after using the platform twice. A UK based user cited transparency and the absence of hidden fees as points of satisfaction. A neutral submission from a Venezuelan user noted that trading conditions appeared positive but that the presence of complaints on WikiFX had prompted them to question whether withdrawal risk was a concern.

A recurring theme across both positive and neutral comments is that Darwinex's trading conditions, spreads, leverage, and platform access tend to receive approval, while withdrawal processing speed and customer support responsiveness are identified as persistent friction points. This is an important consideration for anyone preparing a Darwinex review.

Withdrawal and Deposit Conditions

Darwinex accepts deposits and withdrawals via bank transfer, credit and debit cards, Skrill, and CUP P2P. A commission of EUR 5 equivalent applies to bank transfer deposits below EUR 500, and Skrill deposits carry a 0.5 percent fee. Card withdrawals are capped at USD 20,000 and carry a 1 percent fee with a minimum of USD 2, while bank transfer withdrawals follow a 1 to 3 business day processing window.

The minimum deposit stands at USD 500 equivalent, which a neutral user on WikiFX noted as a deterrent relative to competing brokers with lower entry thresholds.

Conclusion

For traders evaluating the Darwinex broker, the regulatory foundation is legitimate and recognised. However, from a Darwinex regulation standpoint, it remains important to understand the specific protections available under the FCA framework and to verify that you are dealing with the genuine regulated entity rather than a clone website. Anyone conducting a review Darwinex should consider both the broker's strong regulatory credentials and the reported withdrawal and support issues before making a decision.
