Reason for this visit

In the retail forex market, there are a good number of regulated dealers in Cyprus.  However, some of the dealers in that region are not well known to investors, including their scale and business operation. In order to provide investors with more comprehensive information, the survey team visited OTKRITIE, a trader based in Limassol, Cyprus.

Regulatory information

According to the regulatory information, as a CySEC regulated STP broker, OTKRITIE is located at: 1, Griva Digeni, Kaningos and Anastasi Sioukri, PAMELVA COURT, Office 304, CY-3105, Limassol. The survey team thus decided to have an on-site visit to this regulatory address for comfirmation. 

On-site visit

The survey team went to the aforesaid address and arrived at a modern office building in Limassol, Cyprus. There is a Starbucks on the ground floor right below the board saying “BROKER”. The location was considered to be convenient.

On the first floor of the office building, the survey team found a wooden mailbox with the Trader OTKRITIE's logo on it, indicating that OTKRITIE did have an office in the building.

The survey team then went to the third floor, and found the doorplate and logo of OTKRITIE. As the survey team was failed to enter the office, they inquired with the neighbouring companies on the same floor for brief information. It was learned that there were approximate 20 employees on their daily duty in OTKRITIE office. 

 Conclusion

It is confirmed after the survey team’s site visit that OTKRITIE’s office indeed is located at the regulatory address. It was learned that there were approximate 20 employees on their duty in office. Please be prudent when trading with this broker.
