Reasons for Field Survey
Hong Kong, being an international financial center, is home to one of the most significant forex markets globally. Characterized by high internationalization, active trading, and strict regulation, it holds a pivotal position in global forex trading. To assist investors in gaining a comprehensive and precise understanding of forex brokers in this region, the surveyors conducted field surveys in Hong Kong.
Field Survey Process
This issue's field research team traveled to Hong Kong, China, as planned, to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker Stumac. Publicly available information lists its office address as A100, 3/F, 116-118 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.
Dedicated to ensuring stringent investor safety, the professional and experienced field research team traveled to Hong Kong, China, following a carefully planned visit. Based on the aforementioned information, they conducted an on-site visit to Stumac.
Based on the address information, the field research team traveled to the Kwun Tong area and conducted an on-site verification of Stumac, which claimed to be located at A100, 3/F, 116-118 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.
The field research team successfully arrived at the building at the address. It was an older building with an average overall appearance. It was adjacent to a parking lot, and its exterior lacked the neatness and standard appearance of a modern commercial building. The field research team successfully captured a panoramic view of the building, but found no signs or information related to Stumac on the exterior.
Upon entering the building's lobby, the surveyors discovered that it was untiled, with rough, shabby floors and walls, consistent with the building's age. The lobby lacked the typical commercial floor signs, with only a few scattered mailboxes. No information regarding Stumac's presence could be found. The elevator to the floor looked more like a freight elevator, cramped and outdated, making it slightly jerky.
The surveyors took the elevator to the third floor, successfully reaching their destination and confirming the location of A100. However, a thorough inspection of the area on that floor revealed no signs of Stumac's office space, including no company name or other related office signs. Unable to confirm the room's actual purpose, the surveyors were unable to enter.
The surveyors found no Stumac logo on the building's exterior, in the lobby, or on the destination floor, and were unable to capture a photo of the reception area bearing the company's logo. Based on their on-site observations, it was concluded that Stumac's internal office environment did not exist. Therefore, after an on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the dealer Stumac did not exist at the above address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the Forex broker Stumac as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
