Minsk, Minsk Region, Belarus
Reasons for Field Survey
Leveraging regional financial development, the Belarusian foreign exchange market has gradually established an operating system encompassing diverse institutions, making it a key venue for local investors to participate in foreign exchange transactions. To help investors gain a direct understanding of the true operational status of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Belarus.
Field Survey Process
This issue's field research team traveled to Belarus as planned to conduct an on-site visit to AM Markets, a forex broker. Publicly available information lists its office address as Minsk, Odoevski St. 117, office 19.
Upholding the responsibility of rigorously verifying information for investors, the professional field research team conducted an on-site visit to AM Markets, based on the previously disclosed address, to verify the broker's actual business location.
The field research team traveled to Minsk, Belarus, and conducted an on-site verification of the AM Markets office, which was stated to be located at Minsk, Odoevski St. 117, office 19. Upon arrival, the field research team found no company campus associated with AM Markets. They only managed to capture panoramic photos of the building. No signs bearing the company's name, office instructions, or any other signs of business operations were found on the exterior or surrounding areas.
The field research team then successfully entered the building lobby and conducted a thorough inspection of the company's signage, verifying the information of all registered companies. No records related to AM Markets were found. To further confirm the situation, the surveyors inquired with the lobby staff whether AM Markets was operating in Office 19. After reviewing the registration records, the staff clarified that they had no record of the company's registration and had never heard of AM Markets.
Since the staff could not provide information about the floor where AM Markets was located, and the surveyors found no signs pointing to Office 19 in the lobby or other public areas, they were unable to confirm the company's specific floor and office location, and were therefore unable to proceed to the target floor for further verification. Furthermore, the AM Markets logo was absent from the building, making it impossible for the surveyors to determine whether it was a shared office. Unable to locate the office, they were unable to photograph the reception desk or logo bearing the company's logo. Furthermore, since AM Markets' office space had not been located, the internal office environment, number of rooms, and number of workstations could not be verified.
Based on the on-site inspection, after multiple rounds of verification, including lobby inspections and staff inquiries, the surveyors found no trace of AM Markets' operations, and staff explicitly denied the company's existence. Therefore, after on-site inspection, it was confirmed that AM Markets does not exist at the above-mentioned address. It was determined that the broker is a fictitious entity and has no real office or business location.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the Forex broker AM Markets as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
