Istanbul, Türkiye
Purpose
The Turkish foreign exchange market is an emerging market that has rapidly developed in recent years. With the continuous opening of Turkey's economy and the gradual improvement of its financial markets, foreign exchange trading has become increasingly important in the country's financial sector. To help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of foreign exchange brokers in this region, the on-site inspection team conducted a field visit to Turkey.
Process
The on-site investigation team visited the foreign exchange broker OSMANLI in Turkey as planned. According to public information, its office address is Yenibosna Merkez mah. Ladin sok. Kuyumcukent Mağaza Bloğu No:4 M/Z204 Bahçelievler / İSTANBUL.
A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, driven by a sense of mission to rigorously safeguard investors' interests, meticulously planned and traveled to Turkey. Based on the aforementioned information, they conducted an on-site visit to the dealer OSMANLI.
The field investigator proceeded to the target area based on the address information to conduct an on-site verification of the dealer claimed to be located at Yenibosna Merkez mah. Ladin sok. Kuyumcukent Mağaza Bloğu No:4 M/Z204 Bahçelievler / İSTANBUL OSMANLI.
The on-site inspector successfully arrived at the target location, which is situated in the Bahçelievler district of Istanbul. However, contrary to expectations, there was no financial company office environment here; instead, it was a trading market. The surrounding atmosphere was far from that of the financial industry, with the commercial environment primarily revolving around the trading market, unrelated to financial services. No company signage or relevant information was found on the exterior of the building.
The inspection personnel entered the building lobby, explained their purpose to the security guard, and obtained permission to enter.
Upon arriving at the target floor, the field investigator found no signage for the OSMANLI office area, nor any corresponding security measures. Since there was no office space for the company here to begin with, the investigator was unable to enter the so-called interior. They could not photograph the reception desk or its logo, and the area was not a shared office space.
Through the lobby area, the on-site inspector observed that the environment here is more akin to a trading market, which is completely inconsistent with the positioning of a financial company. The overall environment does not match its claimed positioning.
Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it has been confirmed that the dealer OSMANLI does not exist at the aforementioned address.
Conclusion
The on-site investigator visited the foreign exchange broker OSMANLI in Turkey as planned. At the publicly displayed business address, no information such as the company name of the broker was found, indicating that the broker does not have a genuine business premises. Investors are advised to make their choices after comprehensive consideration.
