Reason for this visit

To help investors have good knowledge of regulated brokers in Cyprus, the survey team this time visited Tate Prime, a broker based in Limassol, Cyprus.

Regulatory Information

According to the regulatory information, the broker Tate Prim has the MM license issued by CySEC and located at Omonoias, 141, The Maritime Centre, Block B, 1st floor, 3045, Limassol, Cyprus. 

In addition, Tate Prime also holds the MM license issued by ASIC and the retail Forex licence  issued by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) .

On-site visit

The survey team followed the address on the regulatory information to an office building located at Omonoias, 141, Limassol, Cyprus. The building named "The Maritime Centre" is adjacent to the new wharf. Looking around, it looks high-end with nice environment and long history.   

There was no logo of Tate Prime on the advertising boards placed on the exterior wall of the building. Instead, the logo of IC Markets was seen.

Conclusion

The survey team confirmed after the on-the-spot visit that there is no office of Tate Prime at the address mentioned in the regulatory information. Of course, there is also a possibility that the broker Tate Prime and IC Markets refer to the same company. However, this surmise could not be effectively verified.Thorough consideration is suggested for making any choice.
