Reasons for Field Survey
Leveraging its strengths in tourism and international trade, Thailand's foreign exchange market has steadily grown, becoming a vital component of Southeast Asia's financial landscape and attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Bangkok, Thailand.
Field Survey Process
This inspection targeted Pi Securities, a brokerage firm. Its publicly registered office address is 59/5 Paradise Park, Level 4, Room F04B407-2, Srinakarin Rd, Nong Bon, Prawet, Bangkok 10250. The inspection team rigorously located and verified the address.
Upon arrival, the inspection team confirmed the address matched the public information. The site was a large shopping mall with a vibrant commercial atmosphere. The inspection team successfully captured a panoramic view of the mall. There were no dedicated corporate campuses nearby, and the street traffic was primarily commercial.
The surveyors subsequently gained unimpeded access to the shopping mall. Inside, signage displayed information about shops and service facilities on each floor. However, after repeated searches of the signage on the fourth floor, they found no reference to Pi Securities, nor any signage pointing to the office area at Room F04B407-2.
The surveyors then proceeded to the fourth floor for a thorough inspection, individually checking the signage at the shops and office areas. They found no trace of Pi Securities, indicating that the office was not associated with a financial broker. The surveyors contacted the shopping mall management and the merchants on the fourth floor, but they both stated that Pi Securities had never been employed there and had not received any relevant address registration information.
Furthermore, the surveyors found no Pi Securities logo anywhere inside or outside the shopping mall. While verification confirmed that the shopping mall at the address was located, there was no trace of the target company on the fourth floor, lacking any core evidence to support Pi Securities' operations.
Therefore, the survey confirmed that Pi Securities, the brokerage, did not exist at the aforementioned address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the Pi Securities as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
