Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

This inspection targeted Ağabey Holding, a brokerage firm. Its publicly registered office address is Cobancesme Mah. Industry Cad. Nish Istanbul Residence C Blok No:3-4-5 Bahcelievler / Istanbul. The inspection team rigorously located and verified the address.

Upon arrival, the inspectors first confirmed the street number was consistent with the publicly available information. They successfully located the building, which appears to be a combination of residential and small office buildings. There were no designated company park signs nearby, and the streetscape lacked any clear commercial agglomeration. The inspectors successfully captured a panoramic view of the building.

The inspectors then entered the building's lobby, which was simple and lacked any company signage. To verify whether Ağabey Holding was operating at this location, the surveyors inquired with the front desk staff at the lobby regarding the company's office at 3-4-5. The staff responded with a clear response: "There is no company registration information for this company in this building, and there is no record of this company occupying this office."

Subsequently, the surveyors attempted to confirm the specific location of 3-4-5 on the floor where the office is located. However, due to the lack of clear office area signs from the company and the lack of staff to assist with access, they were unable to reach the alleged office. Furthermore, no Ağabey Holding logo was found on the exterior walls or in the public areas of the building. Upon verification, although the address and street number matched, the lack of actual record of the company occupying this office provided no evidence of the company's actual operations.

Therefore, the survey confirmed that the trader, Ağabey Holding, did not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Ağabey Holding as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
