In an attempt to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of current status of forex brokers in Hong Kong, WikiFX survey team determines to pay on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit forex broker HENGTAI WEALTH as planned according to its regulatory address that Unit 1410, 14/F, Silvercord Tower 1, 30 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

The seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the broker HENGTAI WEALTH in Silvercord Tower 1 at 30 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.

To verify the authenticity of the address and the physical presence of the company, the investigators arrived at Silvercord Tower 1 in Tsim Sha Tsui. The building is located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsuis central business district, featuring a modern commercial office exterior with a clean, well-organized environment and a strong business atmosphere.

The investigators then entered the lobby of Silvercord Tower 1, which was orderly managed with unrestricted visitor access. Their primary task was to locate the building‘s company directory board, a key indicator of a company’s presence. However, after carefully reviewing all floor indices and company name listings in the lobby, no reference to “HENGTAI WEALTH” or any potentially related names was found. No signage or logos bearing “HENGTAI WEALTH” were observed in the buildings public areas.

Despite the absence of directory listings, the inspection team proceeded to the 14th floor for further verification. The floor followed a standard office layout, and upon checking the door numbers, they identified Unit 1410. However, there were no company signs, logos, or any identifiers related to “HENGTAI WEALTH” at or near the unit. Through the glass door, the interior displayed the branding and decor of an entirely different company, clearly indicating a separate operating entity.

To rule out the possibility of a co-working space, the survey team observed the access control of Unit 1410—the door remained closed, restricting entry to unauthorized personnel. Both internal and external visual cues confirmed that the unit was occupied by an independent company, not a shared workspace.

Given the significant discrepancies between the on-site findings and the registered information, the team immediately sought confirmation from the buildings property management. The management explicitly stated that the current registered and actual tenant of Unit 1410 on the 14th floor was another company, not “HENGTAI WEALTH.”

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker does not maintain a physical presence at the above address.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit forex broker HENGTAI WEALTH as scheduled but did not find the company at its regulatory address. It indicates that the broker does not have a physical office at the place. Accordingly, investors are advised to make a well-considered decision following much deliberation.
