Kyobo Securities Co., Ltd is a Korea-based company engaged in the provision of financial services. Kyobo Securities was founded on Nov. 22, 1949 as the No. 1 securities company in Korea, originally established as “Daehan Securities Co., Ltd.”. In 1962, Kyobo Securities was licensed for the securities business (Ministry of Finance License No.1) and in 1987, this company was designated as the official company for stock and bond market making, then renamed as Kyobo Securities in 1994. And at the same time, after it was acquired by Kyobo Life Insurance, the premier domestic life insurance company that has evolved into a full-service financial group, Kyobo Securities was given a fresh start toward becoming a highly competitive, full-service securities company. In 1996, Kyobo Securities started selling index futures, and started the investment trust business on June 17th . In 1997, Kyobo Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd. was established, and this company started the stock index options business and CP discount and trading. In 2001, Futures business offered by this company was authorized, and Exchange traded derivatives trading and brokerage was authorized in 2010, beginning to offer Overseas Futures & Options and FX(Foreign Exchange) Margin Trading Service.
