1.Difference between GDP Deflator and consumer price index (CPI)
GDP Deflator and CPI Are both measure of price changes in an economy but they differ in terms of what they track
.GDP Deflator are both measured the change in the price of all goods and services included in cross domestic products (GDP)
.CPI(consumer price index):it focuses specifically on the changes in prices of goods and services that are purchased by households.this includes foods, housing, clothing transportation medical care .it doesn’t account for goods and services bought or the government nor does it include the price of exports
so, the key difference is that the GDP deflator looks at all goods and services in the economy while the CPI is concerned only with goods and services that consumers buy.
