IndustrySlide: Rupee Closes at 86.14 Against USD Today
Continuing from where it left off yesterday, the rupee lost 7 paise against the US dollar (USD) on July 18, 2025. A day ago, the rupee shed 15 paise. The recovery of the dollar from above a two-year low and frenetic foreign fund outflows pressured the stock indices and the local currency. Overseas investors have offloaded around $300 million of India’s equities after pumping in $1.7 billion a month ago. Traders anticipate the rupee to range within 86.50-85.50 in the near term.
