Retail investors have trusted central government dated securities, renowned as G-secs, way more in August 2025. Their G-sec trades in the secondary market on the RBI Retail Direct platform saw a rise of 5.39 times in value compared to the same period a year ago.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data, the trading activity of retail investors in G-secs was INR 4,267.55 crore as on August 11, 2025. This was a sharp rise from INR 668.36 crore as on August 12, 2024.
