The Financial Services Authority was established on November 12, 2012 by an Act of Parliament, the Financial Services Authority Act, which established a single regulatory unit with the responsibility of regulating certain entities and businesses in the financial sector and provides for regulated matters. The Financial Services Authority was created by Parliament to institute a new system to manage, direct control and supervise the international financial services industry and domestic non-bank institutions in this country.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) advises the public that an entity called FX Portugal LLC is NOT registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Any reliance on the legitimacy of the company, as indicated by a purported registered company number in the “About” section of their website, accessible at https://fxportugal.com/about-optionerfx/, is deceptive and fraudulent. It is important to note that the Authority does NOT issue Forex/Brokers licenses in this jurisdiction. Additionally, the Financial Services Authority neither regulates nor licenses Business Companies (BCs) nor Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) involved in FOREX Trading or Brokerage. The extent of supervision goes no further than to ensure that BCs comply with their obligations under the Business Companies (Amendment and Consolidation) Act, Chapter 149 of the Revised Laws of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2009, and that LLCs comply with their obligations under the Limited Liability Companies Act, Chapter 151 of the Revised Laws of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2009. BCs and LLCs engaged in forex trading/brokerage must obtain the necessary authority or license from the jurisdiction where their clients are located. Any documents presented by FX Portugal LLC, claiming incorporation, registration, formation, licensing, or affiliation with the Authority, are false and forged. The Authority strongly cautions against engaging in any business transactions with this entity, as individuals may become vulnerable to fraudulent activities.
