Reasons for Field Survey
Hong Kong, being an international financial center, is home to one of the most significant forex markets globally. Characterized by high internationalization, active trading, and strict regulation, it holds a pivotal position in global forex trading. To assist investors in gaining a comprehensive and precise understanding of forex brokers in this region, the surveyors conducted field surveys in Hong Kong.
Field Survey Process
This time, the inspection team traveled to Hong Kong, China, as planned, to conduct an on-site visit to the foreign exchange broker ESL. Publicly available information lists its office address as Room 1801, 18/F, Capital Centre, 151 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
Dedicated to ensuring stringent investor safety, the professional and experienced inspection team traveled to Hong Kong, China, following a carefully planned visit. Based on the aforementioned information, they conducted an on-site inspection of ESL, a brokerage firm, in the Wan Chai area of Hong Kong.
Based on the address information, the inspection team traveled to the Wan Chai area of Hong Kong and conducted an on-site verification of ESL, a brokerage firm that claimed to be located at the aforementioned address.
The inspection team successfully arrived at their target building, Capital Centre. Located in the heart of Wan Chai, the building boasts a prime location, convenient transportation, and comprehensive commercial facilities. The overall environment is average. Due to the building's recognizable exterior, the inspection team successfully captured a panoramic view of the building.
The inspection team successfully entered the building lobby, which was clean and orderly. A careful examination of the signage within the lobby revealed no reference to ESL's name or office information.
The surveyors proceeded to the 18th floor as directed, successfully reaching it and confirming the exact location of Room 1801. However, upon arrival, they discovered that the office on the 18th floor belonged to Funderstone, not ESL. The surveyors attempted to enter the office area but were denied permission.
Throughout the survey, no ESL logo or related signage was found on the building exterior, in the lobby, or on the 18th floor. Naturally, no photographs were taken of the alleged reception desk or its logo.
Thus, the survey confirmed that the brokerage ESL did not exist at the aforementioned address.
Field Survey Summary
The surveyors visited the Forex broker ESL as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
