The inspection team continues its field survey campaign as part of the initiative to investigate the authenticity condition of forex brokerage industry. For this session, the inspection team sent its team to New Zealand for a hands-on investigation of broker TFB. 

Office

According to the address indicated in its regulatory status, TFB’s office in New Zealand is at Level 1, 290 Queen ST, Auckland CBD.The survey team went to this place. 

With the help of navigation, the surveyors found the office building that its regulation details indicated. The office building is not particularly upscale, but it is conveniently located.

The surveyors then entered the lobby on the ground floor and found a floor guide. When they checked, they did not find any information about TFB, but that about another Chinese company, E-Trans Group.

Conclusion

A field investigation based on the address it provided did not find TFB’s phyiscal presence in New Zealand. The company claims to be holding a Financial Services Provider license (No. 536487) by the FSPR, however, we have checked with the authority and discovered that the registration and license details likely belong to another entity, not to mention registration with FSPR alone does not necessarily mean it is a licensed forex broker under New Zealand regulation.
