I'd heard great things about their super tight spreads, so I decided to give it a whirl. I picked the EUR/USD pair, a classic choice, right? According to their promo, I was expecting spreads as low as 0.1 pips. But when I dove into real trading, things took an unexpected turn. In one particular trade, the spread I encountered was far from what I'd expected. It wasn't 0.1 pips; it was more like 2 pips. Now, that might not sound like much, but in the forex world, every pip counts, especially when you're trading size. I reached out to my account manager, puzzled by this apparent discrepancy. They explained that market conditions can cause spreads to widen, and that's why I was seeing these larger spreads. So, there you have it – a real-world scenario where those low spreads promised in the ads didn't quite match up with the actual trading experience.
