The demo offered instant execution without slippage, while live accounts involved slippage due to confirmation prompts with one-click trading. This confirmation step, while preventing invalid trades, became a nuisance for efficient trade management as it limited users to handling one trade at a time. Additionally, live accounts initially had a flaw in MT5 that allowed nonsensical trades. For example, a sell order could be placed with a take profit price exceeding the purchase price, which would obviously lead to losses.
