IC Markets Signs Sponsorship Agreement with Six German Football Clubs

This is the first time an Australian broker has worked with a German sports club.

Sports sponsorship continues to be popular among trading platforms as IC Markets becomes the latest Forex and CFD brokers and has partnership agreements with six German football clubs.

The sponsoring clubs are Bayer Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin, FC Augsburg, Arminia Bielefeld, Groiterfurt and VfL Bochum, all playing at the top Bundesliga in the country.

As part of the signed contract, the broker receives advertising rights to the LED boundaries of the field, as well as logos and IP rights. However, none of the parties have disclosed the finances associated with the transaction.

“The presence of television in the six clubs of the Bundesliga will greatly help raise awareness of the German IC market as a core market,” said Australian brokers and football clubs.

Strengthening the Brand

Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, IC Markets operates in Europe through a regulated entity in Cyprus. We also have regulatory licenses in Australia, Seychelles, and the Bahamas.

The latest deal is the broker's first foray into German football, but it's not the first time he's sponsoring a sports team. In early August, the broker signed a contract with the OGE sports team.
