So, like two months ago, I was trading precious metals and oil on FRFX, and to be honest, it was....okay-ish. The spreads weren't too bad, but I can't say they were very competitive either. It wasn't the tightest I’ve seen, you know?
I mean, take gold for example, I went in expecting a spread of about 3 pips, which is generally what you’d expect on a good platform, right? But instead I was looking at around 5 pips pretty consistently. It wasn’t terrible, but it plays into your profitability, y’know?
Now, about slippage. There was a time when I was trying to sell oil. Price was at like
70.50 a barrel when I hit sell,but it executed at 70.45. I want to hit the sell button and get my exact price, not five cents down the line, right?
