I was planning to make a long trade on gold, so I placed a buy order for 50 ounces at $1,750 per ounce. However, I didn't realize that Hantec Bullion had a 10-pip spread on gold. The gold price did rise, but not enough to make up for the extra $10 per ounce that I paid. By the time I closed the trade, I had only made a profit of $30 per ounce.
