The rupee on Thursday opened flat at 74.83 against the US dollar ahead of CPI inflation data which is scheduled to come later in the day.  The local currency on Wednesday declined 5 paise tracking marginal losses in equity markets and weak industrial production data.  On the domestic front, market participants will be keeping an eye on the inflation number and expectation is that price growth could be higher in July compared to the previous month.
