East Century is a truly anonymous broker. The people running this business reveal nothing about themselves except for the company‘s name- East Century Group Limited. Our research showed there is a British company bearing the same name, but East Century doesn’t mention anything about the UK. Also, the British entity doesnt have a license to operate as a Forex broker, so East Century is an illegal enterprise and most probably a scam.

As of now, the website of East Century (https://www.east-century.com/) is not available. We can only find some fragmentary information on the Internet, and most of them are negative reviews. The broker offers Metals, Oil and Energy CFD trading on MetaTrader, but Forex is also possible. In fact, upon download, the default instruments on the platform are currency pairs.

Leverage & Spreads

East Century provides a leverage of 1:100 – while not by much, this is still more than what regulatory bodies have deemed appropriate for retail traders. As for the spread, we learn that the EUR/USD spread on the demo account is 1 pip fixed.

Trading Platform

East Century provides access to the Metatrader5 (MT5) – a platform that is generally considered one of the best available. In this case, however, we dont recommend it – simply because East Century cannot be trusted. We would better suggest sticking with legit Metatrader5 brokers instead.

Risk Warning

The number of the complaints received by WikiFX has reached 15 for this broker in the past 3 months, mainly covering the inability to withdraw funds. In addition, the website is not available and there is no contact information. We assume that the broker East Century might be closed or run away. Please be aware of the risk and the potential scam!
