The rupee settled 43 paise lower to finish at 88.26 (provisional) against the USD on October 27, 2025, amid rising crude oil prices and month-end dollar demand from importers. The crude oil price rally, according to forex traders, was attributable to the US-China trade deal, offering support for stronger oil demand worldwide. The rupee opened at 87.87 against the USD at the interbank foreign exchange today, hitting an intra-day low of 88.31 and a high of 87.86. It finally settled at 88.26.
