High trading costs? More like 'astronomical'. It's probably cheaper to get tickets for a round trip to Mars. Jokes apart, compared to other financial platforms, their exorbitant charges for simple trades took a toll on my trading experience and, needless to say, my wallet. It's a shame to see a company with such potential fall so short in this aspect.
Now, coming to their customer support... Calling it 'unprofessional' almost seems like a compliment. I’ve dealt with many brokers in my time, but Ameriprise’s customer service carries off the crown for being the most uninformed, unhelpful and inflexible bunch out there. Somehow, every call with them ended with me educating THEM on forex trading basics. A fish teaching a monkey to climb trees would have been easier!
