Yokohama sells and purchases 10 types of foreign currency in cash. The types of foreign currency cash sold and purchased at each store are as follows:
l North America: American dollar, Canadian Dollar
l Asia: Chinese yuan, Korean won, Hong Kong dollar, Singapore dollar
l Oceania: Australian dollar
l Europe: Euro, British pound, Swiss franc
Yokohama does not accept foreign currency exchange transactions for corporations or sole proprietors who do not have a savings account with it. Yokohama does not handle coins.
Fees
The handling fee will be charged for remittances denominated in yen and remittances denominated in foreign currencies (same currency) from foreign currency deposits. In terms of foreign remittance fee (destination remittance: when the customer makes a remittance), the handling fee for remittance denominated in domestic and foreign currencies is for free, while the handling fee for foreign remittance as well as domestic non-resident yen remittance is 0.05% of the remittance amount (minimum 2,500 yen).
