Interactive Brokers just revealed its financial results for the first quarter of 2021, which showed a dramatic drop in sales and profitability. The broker generated $645 million in net revenue between January and March, a nearly 28 percent decrease from the previous year. Furthermore, the broker said that its commission-based income fell 15% to $349 million. This drop was caused by an “unusually busy trading season” last year, but it was also helped by more options and futures trading by clients.
