Spec Capital Group Secures ASIC Licence for Wholesale CFD Services

WikiFX

Abstract:Spec Capital Group has obtained an Australian Financial Services Licence from ASIC, allowing the company to provide authorised financial services to wholesale clients in Australia.

Spec Capital Group Pty Ltd has obtained Australian Financial Services Licence No. 700136 from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. ASICs register currently lists the licence as active.

The authorisation allows the Sydney-based company to provide financial services to wholesale clients in Australia, with its business focused on contracts for difference and other derivatives.

Licence Limited to Wholesale Clients

The licence applies to wholesale clients rather than the broader retail market.

This distinction is relevant in the Australian CFD sector, where retail and wholesale clients are subject to different regulatory requirements and investor protections.

Spec Capital Groups offering covers CFD exposure across markets including forex, indices, commodities and shares. The company operates under the Corporations Act and is required to comply with the conditions attached to its Australian financial services licence.

Australian Entity Begins Regulated CFD Operations

Spec Capital Group Pty Ltd is registered as an Australian private company and operates from Sydney. Its AFSL establishes a locally licensed structure for providing wholesale financial services in the Australian market.

The licence does not extend the companys services to Australian retail clients, with its authorised business remaining focused on eligible professional, corporate and institutional participants.
